Mass Madness 13a (91 Singles Entrants) – 6/28/2014, Framingham, MA

This was an amazing tournament, but there were certainly a few hiccups along the way. Doubles ran a little late as some matches were not reported for a time. Singles Pools ran extremely well, finishing 16 pools in just about 2 hours. Shortly after bracket matches were announced the Tio file was overwritten. Remaking them was really stressful, particularly once people tried to report their matches. Doubles Bracket is gone, sadly. However, we managed to get Pro Bracket entirely remade & Amateur Bracket partially remade. We finished up around 11:30pm all-in-all.
This was the 7th NESS Circuit Qualifier, and added $91 to the total Pot of Mass Madness Champship Edition on August 23rd at this same venue. Currently the MM:CE pot is at $425, with 4 more qualifiers to go.

Game Over 20 (70 Singles Entrants) – 6/24/2014, Somerville, MA

This was our second largest Game Over, 2 entrants shy of our previous record on February 11th — that was the kick-off The Melee Games, by the way — and I’m darn happy about it. 70 players showed up and provided 11 TVs, and more that we were unable to place in the venue. Run time this week was 8:10pm to 12:20am for our bracket. We’ve seen players start to rise in the ranks and our newest school is showing a lot of promise.
New England is becoming a region to not mess with. Give us another year and we’ll be taking some real names.
