End The Paign (101 Singles Entrants) – 4/25/2015, Champaign, Illinois
The University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana closed out this school year’s House of Paign tournament series with End The Paign: an MVG qualifier as well as a charity event for the It’s On Us Campaign. Venue fees went towards ending sexual assault.
The tournament garnered plenty of attention, including attention from the white house as Vice President Joe Biden visited to speak in support of the tournament and other programs the school has held to raise awareness of sexual assault. Many people made the drive from around the region, but it was Missouri that proved most formidable as Darkatma edged out Dart in grand finals 3-2, and Shinobi defeated Orly in Loser’s Semi’s. The locals struggled, but one player by the name of Moxxy showed more flashes of brilliance as he defeated PRZ and 7ent. Special thanks to Red Bull for the cases they donated that fueled the entrants and drivers as they left. Join us in the fall for SMYM 16 and the continuation of the House of Paign tournament series.

NWM7 (24 Singles Entrants) – 4/25/2015, Washington State
Due to lack of setups and extremely long run time for Smash 4, 64 received no stream time but went on regardless. Kefit being the long time champion of the area finally had a run for his money by the superbly technical Canadian Captain L. ShankS at his first large 64 tournament beat several long time veterans, and McGodd further solidified his spot as the second best in Washington. The grand finals were incredibly hype with Kefit taking it over Captain L 3-2 in the grand finals.
