Summary
Recently signed onto CLG, PewPewU wants to show the world that he indeed belongs at the top. Although he’s been cursed with 9th place finishes, Kevin has been remarkably consistent and has had great finishes in Norcal, finishing 1st at Norcal Regionals and 4th at I’m Not Yelling!
9. Westballz – (455 pts)

Summary
Westballz has shown flashes of dominance, defeating Hungrybox and even Mango in multiple sets. At his peak, he looks unstoppable, but there are times in which he can fall apart, for example, dropping a set to Ken at Evo. Westballz continues to refine new technology and has been pushing Falco to his limits. He also has a Fox and Captain Falcon that he can pull out in certain matchups.
8. Axe – (493 pts)

Summary
Similar to Westballz, Axe had a stand out performance back at Sandstorm where he defeated Leffen and Mango. Even after years of experience, he still stands leagues above the majority of the field with a weaker character in Pikachu. Not only does he have a Pikachu, but he has a repertoire of characters that plays at a very high level.
7. Plup – (503 pts)

Summary
After a crushing loss to Swedish Delight, Plup made the permanent switch to Sheik. With a quick adjustment period, Plup has turned his Sheik into a monster with amazing tech chases, good aerial spacing, and immaculate footsies. With close sets even against the Big 6, Plup has a ridiculous high ceiling and time will tell if he creeps into the elusive Big 6 club.
6. Mew2King – (535 pts)

Summary
Even with a recent break due to injuries and Smash 4, Mew2King has shown brilliance, taking Mango and Leffen to the brink at WTFox with exciting 5 game sets. He has shown dominance over the players below him, winning consecutive sets against Axe and Westballz and even 6-0’d Plup at Smash n’ Splash. Hopefully, a little rest can bring restoration to his hands and wrists, so that he can practice at full capacity once again.

Your puns are super lame. Stop.
HOW COME PPU GETS 10TH WHEN HE ONLY PLACED 9TH OMG THIS MAKES NO SENSE I HOPE THIS ISNT THE OFFICIAL LIST CLEARLY I KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT SINCE IM A RANDOM INTERNET COMMENT!!11
Why does plup land below m2k? One ninth place finish at apex with no other nationals even attended. Has not taken a set off of a god this year iirc, where as plup has taken 3.
As much as I like plup, don’t forget that m2k 6-0’d him. Also, m2k beat leffen at paragon in January.
Mew2king beat plup 6-0 at smash and splash if I remember reading it a few seconds ago.
Cuz m2k hasn’t lost to plup and has beaten him multiple times, and when they are at the same tournament m2k places higher. Can’t blame m2k for not playing much with a lotta hand problems
Plup has took 7 sets of gods actually 2 vs leffen, 1 vs mango and 4 vs hbox
M2k has took 1 over leffen at paragon but has almost no losses to non gods and his worst placing is 9 while plup has 49 place at apex
M2k is also 9-1 in games against plup
iirc m2k has lost to shroomed, axe,and I think one or two other non gods? I don’t think judging the head to head is a good way to decide who is better In general, and especially not in the case of m2k, who loses the head to head with every god. He hasn’t been practicing and has been slipping because of it. It isnt m2k’s fault he has hand problems, but he shouldn’t be given a free pass to top 6 because of his legacy.
I think Plup is ranked too high. Sure, his performances have been stellar, but for the same reasons Westballz and (probably Mango) have/will be ranked lower, Plup’s inconsistencies have been overlooked. Also, he’s played against Hungrybox so much, that he’s bound to beat him multiple times, eventually. Just like Westballz plays Mango decently often, and he beats him sometimes. I know he’s real god, but I would hesitate to rank him above Axe, Westballz, and maayyybe PPU. But, yeah. it’s tough to make these lists. Pretty solid list regardless.
M2k is currently functioning as a gatekeeper to the gods. He can’t seem to beat any of them at the moment but is also bopping those on the outside.
SSBM Rank is an annual ranking of the top 100 Super Smash Bros. In order to compile the ranking, top level players, tournament organizers, commentators, and figureheads are asked to rate players on a scale from 1 to 10.
Honestly i think wetballz should be 7th he has taked sets off of all gods except pp and armada(which weres amazingly close) and he beats plup and axe a lot
I think at this point, we could raise Hbox a little higher, drop Leffen some slots and keep PP where he is. Mango also is probably in about the right spot but might be a little over-rated. Maybe go down to fourth or fifth and have PP in the other slot. He’s been a buster for much of the year. Also, M2K should probably go up a slot or two. He has rallied quite a bit. Still, I’m not even sure what I’d do for the list, so I guess I’d call your list fairly accurate.
Thing is Mew2King 6-0’d Leffen at pax.
“He even 6-0’d Plup!” Don’t get me wrong that’s a tough feat even for m2k but wouldn’t it have been more interesting to throw up the towering achievement of 6-0’ing leffen instead? Just considering he’s ranked number 2 as apposed to Plup’s 7th place finish lol?
