What is a crew battle?

A crew battle is an exciting exhibition between the two coasts. Each team has 10 players and two alternates. Each team will send out a player to play. The winner will keep his remaining stocks as the losing team will counter-pick their next player into the crew battle. The process repeats itself until a team has used up all of its 10 players. How does counter-picking work?

5 stage ruleset:
The player on stage bans one stage, and the incoming player counter picks with both players sticking to the characters they chose at the start of the crew. Meaning players will be locking in their characters over the next couple of days and we will announce the character list prior to MLG Anaheim. – SolidJake from Reddit
