In some exciting news, Joseph “Mang0” Marquez will be joining the Cloud 9 team. Cloud 9 is well known for its very successful League of Legends team that has been dominating the North America scene, winning both the Spring 2014 and Summer 2013 splits.
I’m thrilled to see MaNg0 get the recognition and support that he deserves. The kid has given so much to Melee, both as a player and as a community member, and I hope he can give us even more with C9’s support. While there may be no more MIOM | MaNg0, we’ll always be members of the nation. – Bobby “Scar” Scarnewman
The one thing about the MIOM team is we are a family. We know each other well, we grow together, we learn from one another. While Mango has been one of the team for ages, we know the importance of the opportunity not just to him as a player, but to the community as a whole and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. While he’s C9 Mango, MIOM will leave the light on for him.” – Wynton “prog” Smith
Mango’s recent accomplishments over the past year include winning the coveted Ev0 2013 tournament. He has also won several regional tournaments including Revival of Melee 7, Fight Pitt 4, and Zenith 2013. His aggressive Fox and Falco constantly put his opponents on edge with his relentless pressure. Over the past year, he’s also provided great insight to his personal gameplay through MIOM’s smash labs and bi-weekly podcasts. Although this means that Mang0 will no longer be with Melee It On Me, we wish him the best and are excited for the awesome opportunities he will have with an established e-sports team that has outstanding management and players.
