Welcome to another fantastic (Captain Falcon) week of community content. This marks the first (of hopefully many) Melee It On Me blogs dedicated to highlighting the creative members of our big Smash Family.
Without further ado here are this week’s submissions.
“Big in Japan”: A Flash SSBM Sheik Combo Video
Creator: Nic Valenti
To quote the description, “this is a bit of an homage to a super cool and underappreciated player who plays a super cool and underappreciated character.” Whether or not the Sheik is under-appreciated is up for debate, but you can’t help but appreciate the music selection for this well put-together highlight reel of Japan’s fearsome ninja main.
Zhu & Cactuar – The Coolest Thing in the World
Creators: Zhu, Cactuar, & Nick DePasquale
For the second week in a row, Zhu and Cactuar give us a video treat. This time with the help of Mr. DePasquale, we examine just what makes Smash so appealing to these players and how it helped them develop into the young role models they are today. A wonderful study of the human aspect of the game, and inspirational to boot.
[Captain Falcon] Neutral Game Tutorial
Creators: Kira and Kellen
“Hey guys you already know” and with those little words we’re ready to drink from the faucet of Smash knowledge that are the SSBM Tutorials series of vids. Kira walks through some key Falcon neutral game fundamentals, so be thirsty my friends, and drink up on this healthy dose of all things Falcon and Knee.
Teeny Spacies
Creator: PGH Housewife
Lovely artwork from PGH Housewife and it’s a print tah-boot! Clink on the lick to snag yourself a copy.
The Different Ways to Pivot
Creators: Wizzrobe, Gravy, and Gahtzu
From Gahtzu: “Wizzrobe, Gravy, and myself have recently embarked on an online journey to educate the community on the path we believe Falcons (and all characters) should be striving for by showing them the processes we use to discover character optimizations. Many of the mechanics we’ve discussed thus far can be utilized with every character, and we are also about to release a 20XX debug tutorial.”

Melee Album
Creators: Fernando Tito Avelar
Wow. Just wow. The musician is dirty as he treats us to some grimy and delicious chopy remixes of some familiar Melee tunes. His goal is to record an entire album of remixes and although it’s a Work in Progress, we are excited to see what the finished product will look like. Checkout Multi Man Melee 2, and Mother Remix Attempt 1.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s submissions! Share your thoughts in the Facebook Group!
