MCSmashter 4 (255 Singles Entrants) – 2/21/2015, Hamilton, ON

Streamed on Twitch.tv/VGBootCamp and Twitch.tv/EvenMatchupGaming

McSmashter 4 continued the annual tradition of ridiculous growth to become the largest Melee, Project M, and overall Smash Bros. tournament in Canada ever!
To no one’s surprise, [A]rmada took the whole thing – he even managed a perfect tournament, not dropping a single match.
The real story was n0ne’s gfycat-filled bracket run, culminating in his close Losers Semis win over Kage. This followed their many equally close money matches throughout the day.
Other notable wins include Fork beating EMG|Weon-X in round 1, making one of the biggest upsets in recent history (and with wobbling banned, no less). Weon-X ran all the way back through Losers before losing to Kage to finish in 5th place. Coffeeblack also took an impressive win over I.B., while Chuffles came very close to taking a set from Vwins (but didn’t).
Thanks to the huge pot bonus, the final prize pool exceeded $4000.

UW Geek Week: The Dawg Pound! (96 Singles Entrants) – 2/21/2015, Seattle, Washington

UW Geek Week: The Dawg Pound! was a tournament hosted and run by the University of Washington’s up and coming Smash Club! We had an unprecedented turnout of 96 people, which is amazing in it’s own right and even more so given many of Washington’s players were in Oregon for Black Wolf.
OutTheCuts took the tournament in a close last stock match against new resident Vino’s Jigglypuff. Gimpyfish62, known for his bowser and streaming our Washington monthlies at Gameclucks streamed the event and entered too!
The strongest students of the UW Smash Club, Wasabi and Vitamin E, got 4th and 5th place respectively. The tournament ran efficiently, finishing the 96 man bracket in 5 hours and managing to stream all of Top 8!

Spero’s House X (40 Singles Entrants) – 2/15/2015, Mount Sinai, NY

The tenth and final tournament in the Spero’s House series may just have been the best one ever. With one of the most stacked singles brackets yet, it was no surprise that the quality of the matches was top tier. SL | Spero made a dominant return to the top 3 after a disappointing 9th place at Mount Smash 3, upsetting LVP | Kurt Copain in an intense 3 game set along the way. Grand Finals however saw a runback of Dr. Lobster vs. The Dude from the previous week at MS3. The Dude took a convincing 3-1 victory in the first set before being swept 3-0 in the second set.
