For the second straight year, MeleeItOnMe is ranking every SSBM Player and counting them down on Twitter (#SSBMRank2014 @Meleeitonme), from No. 100 to No. 1 .

We asked a panel of ~30 players/commentators/figureheads from all across the world to rate the overall level of play for each player in 2014 (From January 2014 –> The Big House 4). This includes evaluating perceived skill in tandem with the tournament results.

Don’t worry ranks 4,3 will also release today, but we will be giving each player in the top 10 their own dedicated page with highlight clips.

Summary:
Universally regarded as the best Jigglypuff player, Hungrybox has held his spot as a God for several years now. After some questionable losses in 2014, Hungrybox remained unshaken by placing second at EVO 2014, silencing many doubters with his defeat of PPMD and double elimination of Armada. Even after a 9th place finish at The Big House 4 (his lowest placing in years), Hungrybox remained faithful to the Puff, even after trying out several secondaries. Along with being the best Jigglypuff by far, he also wields one of the best Ness’ out there. If there’s one thing you can say about Hungrybox, it’s that he seems to feed off his doubters. Sleeping on Hungrybox is a big mistake, and will likely lead to you being slept on by his Puff.
