Leffen solidified his spot among the game’s undisputed six best players, defeating Hungrybox and then Armada in winners bracket. Lucky stole the show with a ridiculous losers bracket run, beating DJ Nintendo, Colbol, Hungrybox, and Westballz to land in 5th place. The Midwest had its strongest showing at a national in years; Kalamazhu notched victories over Lucky, VaNz, KirbyKaze, and MacD before losing to Hax in a nailbiting five-game set, while Kels pulled off an upset of epic proportions by eliminating Axe in 9th place. Armada and Hungrybox both had down tournaments, finishing in 4th and 9th respectively in a Day 2 filled with upsets. Mew2King nearly defended his Big House title by scraping Leffen in winners finals to guarantee himself a spot in the top two, but at the end of the day, it was Mango who once again unleashed his losers bracket magic; the self-proclaimed GOAT dropped into losers early, then defeated Armada, Leffen, and Mew2King in straight sets to take the tournament.
