BAM: 4 stocks is not a lead (64 Singles Entrants) – 9/13/2014, San Carlos, CA

In the 4th installment of the BAM series, 17 teams without the usual match up of alan&shroomed or pewpewu&(insertperson), allowing for other teams to take the spotlight. For singles, many of the top players were gone, opening up an opportunity to run pools which led into a pro and amateur bracket. Pro bracket proved to be extremely difficult, with hydrokirby making his first appearance at a BAM tournament and placing 4th. Laudandus, who normally places between 7th and 9th, proved that he has what it takes to get to 1st.

ESPORTS Ontario Series: Windsor (40 Singles Entrants) – 9/13/2014, Windsor

ESPORTS Ontario Series: Windsor was the launch event of a tournament circuit aiming to crown the best Dota, LoL, and Smash players in the province. Esports Gaming Events, a company that specializes in organizing high profile LoL and Dota events in Canada, reached out to Even Matchup Gaming to organize and stream the Smash events, which marked the start of what could be a great partnership. The Windsor scene is relatively small and new to competitive Smash as a whole, averaging a humble 10-12 players per event, but OES managed to come close to rivaling the Dota and LoL entrants pool, with 40 unique participants and over 500$ up for grabs. Toronto Joe who helped organize,commentate and stream the event won the singles competition with his partner EMG ProZak finishing second. Look out for OES:Waterloo on September 27th to track the progress of this series!

Nebulous Saturday Melee 14 (17 Singles Entrants) – 9/13/2014, New York, NY

Nebulous has been quiet with the usual top 3 travelling, which has led to some interesting sets and upsets. Skrach continued his rise in NY with a win over ryobeat, as well as double eliminating dizzkidboogie. still, dizz proved himself to be no slouch either, with his ICs taking a Bo5 set against Ryobeat’s peach. at the end of the day G$ emerged victorious, winning his second nebulous to date. Nebulous will be taking a break next week, so we’ll see you all in two weeks

Project M (1)

Project T.O 3 (53 Singles Entrants) – 9/14/2014, Toronto

Project T.O 3 was a stacked PM event featuring some of Ontario and Quebecs best players. The best in Toronto and the best in Quebec faced off in the grand finals of a class set that was months in the making. EMG Weon-X defended home turf 3-0ing Ally in Grand Finals in an impressive display of aggression and technicall skill. This is the 3rd consecutive PMTO win for Weon-X, and solidifies him as the player to beat in Canada for Project M.
