Featuring out of region players, VGBC|Hax and EMG.KirbyKaze, “The Next Episode” would not disappoint with a slew of hungry players vying to perform well. Day 1 featured a slew of exciting matches and upsets with Alan defeating LuCKy and Mooninite defeating CrimsonBlur with Kirby. Cute Cats 6: Dastardly Dogs (50 Singles Entrants) – 3/22/2014, Atlanta, Georgia

Georgia’s Melee scene continues to grow with the latest addition of the Cute Cats monthly series. Cute Cats 6 had a nice blend of old school and new school with every member of the current top 10 in Georgia in attendance along with former top Georgia players such as Chaddd and GAWes attempting to get back into the game. SS | Flow and SS | s0ft ended up winning the 17 team doubles bracket, going mostly double Jigglypuff on their way to victory. After a disappointing performance at Cute Cats 5, SS | s0ft came back strong in singles with wins over SS | Flamin’ Roy, Pengie, and Baka4Moe but couldn’t beat out SS | Nicaboy who defeated SS | s0ft in both Winners Finals and Grand Finals to win the tournament. SS | Nicaboy also defeated DruggedFox and Baka4Moe on his way to victory, not dropping a set the whole tournament.

Wavedash Wednesday (40 Singles Entrants) – 3/19/2014, Oak Park, IL

I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but once again we’ve broken our entrants record for overall events! The stream looked great this week thanks to some venue rearrangement by Zwarm and Bobby, and its only going to get better with everyone chipping in to the Stream Quality Fund. According to sources on the Facebook group we broke 150+ viewers for the night, which is also a record. (by quite a bit if I’m not mistaken)
This week saw the return of a familiar face, with the veteran Falcon ORLY taking 4th in PM and 3rd in Melee. Melee Winners Finals featuring Kels and ORLY proved to be an incredibly fun set between the two long-time nemeses that included a game on Brinstar(the best stage in Melee) and plenty of Johns. Oro?! and Kels once again brought the hype in grand finals for both games. Kels’ Sheik narrowly reset the bracket in an incredibly tight 5 game set before closing it out over Oro?!’s Zero Suit Samus, and in Melee Kels Falco ended Grand Finals 3-1 in the fifth tournament set between the two players for the night.

Singles Results
1. Kels
2. Oro?!
3. ORLY (Kels[1])
