Summary: |
SwiftBass, known locally as Swift, is a solid Fox/Marth main from Connecticut. Originally a top Pittsburgh smasher, he is now a contender for the top spot in New England, and has beaten his fair share of top players. Swift plays a largely textbook Fox but throws in bursts of aggressive shield pressure and can be hard to read. |

The Marth from Spain has seen relative success going far in major brackets ever since the days of Pound 4, where he picked up tourney wins vs Darkrain and PikaChad. Although poor local competition has hindered his growth in some aspects, Strawhat Dahean has strong fundamentals, and can play against other top tier characters very well. |

Summary: |
New fan favorite aMSa has only been playing competitively since February of this year but has rapidly ascended to Japan’s upper echelon. The technical Yoshi player turned many heads at Evolution 2013 where he placed 25th. Though falling to Mew2King and DaShizWiz, simply taking a game off of Mew2King’s Sheik with Yoshi was enough to cement him as a force to be reckoned with in the minds of many. Mew2King himself was impressed enough with aMSa to state that he feels aMSa is Japan’s best player. aMSa, now generally considered the best Yoshi main, is known for his technical precision. Yoshi is a notoriously finicky character with numerous difficult techniques specific to his character (such as edge-cancelled eggs), but aMSa performs strings of difficult maneuvers with seeming ease. His tech skill exhibition video “The Red Essence” garnered favorable reception and his videos of friendlies with various top players such as Axe and SilentSpectre have gotten thousands of views. aMSa is the only single-main low tier user to make the Top 100, an impressive feat. He will be attending Apex 2014 and teaming with fellow Yoshi main V3ctorMan for doubles. Many are hoping for big things from this rising star. |

Summary: |
This “lesser known” Pikachu main is definitely no slouch. He has taken out several top players such as Shroomed at MELEE-FC10R and Kels at Big House 3. His knack for picking up on his opponents’ movement patterns gives him openings that other people don’t normally get. Aside from Melee, PikaChad is extremely talented in Project M, and is considered a contender for best Mario player. |

Summary: |
Duck, hailing from Michigan, has a stylish Samus that is known for its high-risk high reward play. Duck is famous for making longer than normal combo strings from the use of Samus’ unconventional down-air into moves such as forward smash. His most notable placing came at the first installment of The Big House, where he finished 5th behind S2J/Lovage/VaNz/KirbyKaze. |

A consistent strong player at larger tournaments, Eggz has an underrated technical Fox that is often overshadowed by Silent Wolf who is also from the same area. His Fox still performs really well, convincingly beating players such as Wizzrobe at Evo 2013. Eggz has had some side issues in the past, but when he’s focused on playing, his Fox puts on an amazing display of ability. |

Though somewhat less active in Ontario these days, he is still a force to be reckoned with. His rarely seen Falco is almost as devastating as his Marth. A card-carrying Mang0 homie. |

After years of unfortunate pools at nationals, Tai has made a name for himself as a strong and technical Marth player, also emphasizing fluid movement and consistent technical ability. He’s had many exciting sets with elite players such as PPU, ColBol and S2J, garnering the respect of many fans. With just a minor push, it would not be surprising if Tai took tournament sets from people higher on this list. |
