Smash @ Clarendon Happy Hour (88 Singles Entrants) – 7/18/2014, Arlington, VA

Smash @ Clarendon smashed previous records and may have violated fire codes with an 88-entrant tournament on Friday night. Chillin mounted a 3 game comeback after going 0-2 against Nintendude and managed to ride this momentum to another Clarendon victory over DoH. On the other side of the bracket, lloD upset DP, who won the runback set in losers to take 3rd, ultimately falling to DoH.

Nebulous Saturday Melee 7 (46 Singles Entrants) – 7/19/2014, New York, NY

Nebulous’s saturday weekly continues, with ever rising singles entrants. This week Tuna, who hadn’t entered a tournament in 5 years, came out of nowhere to pull off several upsets. Also Minty beat Ryobeat, and Hax went Falcon in winners against Minty. Ryobeat won the runback, and Hax resolved to return to 20XX, even for Samus. We’ll be here again next week, plus there will be a Sunday PM tournament at the same venue.
