The MLG action will start on Friday! Earlier this week, MLG revealed Day 1’s entire itinerary of streamed matches. The high level action will start immediately as the final round robin pools will partially play out as the open bracket is happening. Here are some matches to look out for.

5. Leffen vs Mew2King (2:30 PM PST)

What a great way to start the day with two players who are both widely considered to be top 6 in the world. Mew2King got the best of Leffen at Apex 2014, but that was 5 months ago. Leffen has been dominating the European scene over the past year and it’ll be exciting to see if he has what it takes to take on “The Robot”.

4. Hax vs. Soft (2:50 PM PST)

S0ft surprised the world when he placed in the Top 8 at Apex 2014, taking down Hax along the way in bracket pools. Hax has improved immensely, winning the next two sets against s0ft at other tournaments. Will s0ft be able to pull another ridiculous run or will Hax’s constantly improving Fox be too much for this southern Puff?

3. aMSa vs Westballz (4:10 PM PST)

We’ll finally get to see these two players play against each other for the first time in a competitive setting. Japanese Falcos such as Kou have given aMSa a difficult time, but Westballz may not know the matchup well enough to deal with Yoshi’s unique skillset. Will Westballz adapt in time or will aMSa run him over?

2. Mew2King vs. PPMD (4:30 PM)

Strangely, this was a grand finals match at SKTAR 3 and now they are playing on day 1. PPMD has shown that not even “Final Destination” is a good stage for Mew2King. This will be an interesting set that will showcase both player’s character diversity.

1. Leffen vs Hax (5:10 PM PST)

This has been a long heated rivalry that has never actually come into fruition in a tournament setting. Leffen has taken jabs at Hax repeatedly over social media in regards to his “predictable” Fox. Hax and Leffen are both strong Fox players that excel at the ditto. Beyond the match itself, there’s much more at stake with their pride on the line in this best of five. You don’t want to miss this!
