As an aside, I know many Smash majors have had challenges finding venues and financing events this year, and Big House is no different. In fact we were originally on a different weekend, but pivoted away due to the Detroit Marathon gobbling up all the hotel rooms here in Michigan. Our best remaining option was October 6-8, 2017, which overlapped with the previously scheduled 2GGC, but fellow event organizer Champ and his team have been gracious enough to swap dates with us so there will be no conflicts. I’m extremely thankful for that, and happy that the Smash community can leverage the October schedule to its fullest potential!
