Region: | Tri-State | ||
Tourney Results | 33rd at EVO 2013
Summary: | |||
Once considered to be one of if not the best Fox main in the U.S., Jman’s patient and fundamentally solid playstyle relies heavily on up-smash and lasers. Known to team with Hax, the “Little Rascals” came onto the scene at Pound 3 and made waves. With wins over many top players such as Lucky, MaNg0 and Hax, Jman proved himself to be a strong contender during the 2008-2010 period. Though he has been retired for quite a while, he made an effort to getback into shape for Evolution 2013 and performed very well. Expect amazing things from him in 2014. |

49 | Main(s) | Sheik | 7.429 |
Region: | NorCal | ||
Tourney Results | 13th at EVO 2013
Summary: | |||
Known as one of the hidden bosses of NorCal, Lucien surprised everyone at Evolution 2013 with a top 16 finish, narrowly losing to Ice. His guides on move selection, mind games, and spacial awareness have been a signficant boon to players that have recently gotten into competitive Melee. Although life continues to keep him busy, Lucien has shown repeatedly that he has the skills to compete with the best players in the nation. |

48 | Main(s) | Ice Climbers | 7.444 |
Region: | Maryland/Virginia
Tourney Results | 49th at Apex 2013
5th at TBH3 | |||
Summary: | |||
Nintendude is a fantastic Ice Climbers player and a main representative of the scene in MD/VA. He quickly rose to the top of his region by training with JesiahTEG and other top NY players. Nintendude places well at locals as well as nationals, with a recent very convincing 5th place finish at The Big House 3, where he solidly defeated PewPewU in the losers bracket. He is also a high-level SSB64 player; his Mario took him to 9th place in the Apex 2013 side event. |

Tourney Results | 49th at EVO 2013

Summary: | |||
A long time veteran of the game, HugS has been a high-level tournament player since the days of FC-3. He has consistently placed well at nationals for almost ten years, including his top 8 at the MLG tournaments and at Evolution 2007. HugS took a brief retirement but recently resurged onto the scene, showing that his slow-paced, methodical Samus can still be relevant against a metagame that has shifted to emphasize speed and technical skill. |

Region: | Midwest | ||
Tourney Results | 25th at Apex 2013
7th at TBH3 | |||
Summary: | |||
DarkAtma is one of the few players that are proficient with two characters, affording him a strategic advantage in being able to choose whether to play Sheik or Peach based on the matchup. He originally grew up in NorCal, honing his skills playing against players such as Zhu, and now teaches people in St. Louis how to become better at the game. |

45 | Main(s) | Jigglypuff | 7.511 |
Region: | New England | ||
Tourney Results | 25th at Apex 2013
5th at ROM 6 | |||
Summary: | |||
One of the very few high-level Jigglypuff players in the history of the game (and second of only two Puffs to make it onto this list), Darc combines smart spacing play with an unprecedented knack for landing rests to keep his foes on their toes. His rest game is not only prevalent in Singles but is a large part of what makes him an excellent Doubles player. Darc’s streamed matches tend to generate a lot of hype, even from players and fans who don’t generally find Puff exciting. |
Rank | Camilo “Weon-X” Morales | Score
44 | Main(s) | Fox | 7.514 |
Region: | Canada | ||
Tourney Results | 65th at Apex 2013
3rd at Impulse 2013 | |||
Summary: | |||
Also known as “The Chilean Thunder” (not really), Weon-X started out in the same region as the players in the famous Arique Nuubs combo video, but has spent most of his smash career in Toronto. He has claimed several recent wins over both Unknown522 and KirbyKaze and is currently a contender for #1 in the GTA. The only way to stop his Fox from attacking you is to unplug his controller. He has yet to truly prove himself at a national, especially since he rarely travels, but his skill is obvious to everyone he plays. Camilo is a man of few words who rarely stops smiling. |
Rank | Oscar “Lovage” Nilsson | Score
42 (Tie) | Main(s) | Fox | 7.550 |
Region: | SoCal | ||
Tourney Results | 33rd at EVO 2013
49th at Apex 2013 | |||
Summary: | |||
Lovage is known for his unorthodox movement and outstanding technical skill. His Fox has a strong neutral game, but he is also more than willing to go for risky, stylistic kills. Lovage has won many tournaments in the past, most notably the first installment of “The Big House” series. He is undeniably one of the most intimidating Fox players the Melee community has ever seen. |
Rank | Eduardo “Eddy_Mexico” Lucatero Rincon | Score
42 (Tie) | Main(s) | Luigi | 7.550 |
Region: | SoCal | ||
Tourney Results | 25th at EVO 2013
5th at SSS3 | |||
One of the most exciting Luigi players, Eddy_Mexico plays by feeling and intuition, reading movements and patterns to most effectively punish his opponents. He’s had impressive performances and excellent comebacks against many of SoCal’s finest players. HugS once seriously considered picking up a secondary after Eddy soundly defeated him at Genesis 2, convincing him that Luigi dominates Samus in the matchup. |
Rank | Hendrick “DJ Nintendo” Pilar | Score
41 | Main(s) | Fox/Samus/Bowser | 7.588 |
Region: | Tri-State | ||
Tourney Results | 65th at Apex 2013
5th at ROM 6 | |||
Summary: | |||
Some would describe his playstyle as quirky. DJ Nintendo plays an impressive array of characters at a very high level, including Samus, Mario, Fox, and the crowd favorite, Bowser. He’s beaten countless top players with his Bowser, the most recent casualty being Unknown522 at Zenith 2013. Lately, however, he has dropped most of his mains to focus on bringing his Fox to the next level. DJ Nintendo plays a bit different from the standard Fox, often baiting his opponents and learning their patterns before attacking them. |
